Through the Stelvio National Park on a Horse-Drawn Sleigh
Riding through the winter forests as they did in the olden days
Crossing the snow-covered Suldental/Val di Solda Valley on an open-carriage horse-drawn sleigh wrapped in warm blankets is an unforgettable experience for romantics of all ages. Running from Christmas to Easter, the sledges are pulled through the winter landscape beneath the Ortler by hardy local Haflingers and Noriker breeds.
The pure mountain air outdoors not only energizes the strong horses, but also junior visitors, who end the sleigh ride with ruddy cheeks. Kids thoroughly enjoy the adventure while adults experience it as more of a romantic ride through the glistening winter landscape. Under sunny winter skies, the sleigh speeds along the snow-covered paths of the valley under the gaze of the mighty 3,000 m peaks. This environmentally-friendly means of transport, once used to be the only quick way of reaching the valley.
