The contest is organized by the Stelvio, Gran Paradiso, Abruzzo-Lazio-Molise and Vanoise National Parks with the support of Alparc (Rete delle Aree Protette Alpine - Alpine Network of Protected Areas) and Federparchi. In 2021, the contest was also assisted by the media partner "La Rivista della Natura".
Our Parks may seem distant, but they are linked together thanks to the beauty of mountain landscapes and plants and animals living there. Not an easy world, of course, but full of charm.

The winning photos of the 15th edition of the photo competition were chosen by the jury members. The three winning photos in the cross-category class exemplify the different disciplines of nature photography.

First place was awarded to the inspiring photo by Stanislao Basileo, which shows an ibex fighting a snowstorm. Second prize went to Marco Antonini's photo showing the "life dance" of two dragonflies at the delicate moment of egg-laying. Third prize was awarded to the dramatic black and white photo by Véronique André, which shows the effects of a summer snowfall on Dent Parrachée in the Vanoise massif in various shades of light and dark.
