The contest is organized by the Stelvio, Gran Paradiso, Abruzzo-Lazio-Molise and Vanoise National Parks with the support of Alparc (Rete delle Aree Protette Alpine - Alpine Network of Protected Areas) and Federparchi. "La Rivista della Natura" is the competition's media partner.
Now in its
sixteenth edition, the photo contest "Fotografare il Parco" now represents one of the most eagerly awaited and prestigious events on the international scene. Landscapes, animals and plants of the protected areas become the protagonists in the photos in the competition, which not only denote the high technical ability of the authors, but also imply a marked sensitivity and an unusual ability to observe the natural environment.
The competition is divided into
four categories:
- Park Landscape
- Park Wildlife
- Park Microcosmos and Natural Details
- Park Plant World
For the overall and category winners there are cash prizes, stays in the four protected areas and subscriptions to 'La Rivista della Natura'. A prize is up for grabs for the photo that is deemed most representative of the interaction between man and nature in the protected areas.
Participation in the photo competition is free of charge: each participant can enter all four categories in the regulations with a maximum of four photographs per section.
The
winners of the XVI edition have been selected!
For the contest, there were, actually, over 420 participants and over 3,100 photos submitted.
