Travel information:
In Italy, like Germany and Austria, you also have to wear a fluorescent vest when exiting your vehicle on the roadside. When driving on the motorways/highways and country roads, car lights must be switched on both night and day. Parking in the main urban centres and towns is only allowed in certain designated areas. Short-term paid parking is usually indicated with blue markings on the tarmac. Parking spaces are signposted and garages for public parking can be found in towns as well as in most of the smaller centres.

Top speed in Italy:
- in localities - 50 km/h
- on state roads - 90 km/h
- on highways - 130 km/h
