As a signatory to the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas, the Stelvio National Park is committed to responsibility, dialogue and cooperation.
Following the 2019-2023 period with an extension for 2024 and 2025 as a member of the Charter network, we are now striving to renew the Charter for the period 2026-2030 and are actively working towards this goal.
Together with local authorities, businesses, associations and visitors, we are working to develop tourism that is respectful of the environment, local identity and future generations.
We focus on gentle mobility, regional products and authentic nature experiences. We rely on education and awareness-raising so that visitors understand what makes this place special.
We ensure that our measures are measurable and verifiable – because sustainability requires transparency.
Everyone is welcome to be part of this journey: through participation, consideration and enthusiasm for our protected area.
The local and joint sustainable measures (called actions) in the sense of the Charter from 2019 to 2025 are as follows:
Actions in the National Park - South Tyrol
Actions in the National Park - Trento
Actions in the National Park - Lombardia
Joint actions - South Tyrol, Trento and Lombardia
