With its 14 peaks rising to above 3,000 m (six of which exceed 3,500 m), the Ortler Mountain Group in the Stelvio National Park offers ski mountaineers a varied adventure-playground, with countless off-piste sporting challenges on its remote summits.

The breathtaking Suldenspitze (3,376 m), Cevedale (3,769 m) and Kleiner Angelus (3,318 m) are especially worth mentioning. The Butzenspitze, Hintere Schöntaufspitze and Ebene Jöchl peaks can be reached from the Martelltal/Val Martello Valley. One of the most spectacular routes leads from the Zufallhütte mountain hut to the Cima Marmotta summit at 3,330 m, with magnificent views of the Königsspitze and the Ortler Group. This follows the same route as the world-famous Marmotta Trophy, where athletes participate both in classic and vertical skiing competitions.

Along the eastern foothills of the Ortler Alps in the Stelvio National Park, are the mountains of the Ultental/Val d’Ultimo Valley with numerous routes connecting the valley to the summit.

The local mountain ski schools also organize mountain ski tours.
