Outdoor Skills for Nature
9/19/2026 10:30 - 13:30
Together, we’ll discover how to find our way around the countryside using navigation aids such as maps and compasses. We’ll learn to read topographical maps, understand lines of altitude and map symbols, determine coordinates, and calculate distances and walking times. Along the way, we’ll practise important outdoor skills and use the features of the landscape to find our bearings. Along the way, we’ll also be collecting litter, thereby making an important contribution to keeping the outdoors clean.
