Hiking Trails in the Stelvio National Park
Hiking around the Ortler Group in South Tyrol
The Goldseeweg Trail, the Hintere Schöntaufspitze Peak and the Solda Glacier Path are some of the more popular itineraries in the nature reserve. Trekking through the Martelltal/Val Martello Valley to the Lyfi Alm (2,164m) and Soy Alm (2,072m) refuges or to the Zufallhütte (2,265m) mountain hut are more challenging. The Martelltal Valley Panoramic Trail and the breathtaking Martelltal Valley High Mountain Trail offer fantastic views of the surrounding mountains.
600 km of hiking trails lead into the Stelvio nature reserve from the Ultental/Val d’Ultimo Valley. Trails above the tree line lead to a number of small mountain lakes, ideal for family day-hikes. In remote mountain valleys such as the Falkomaital or Kirchbergtal, the trails are indeed solitary!
