Irrigation channel path hike with views of the Medieval city of Glurns/ Glorenza, BBQ spot at Platzganggl.
Route description
The circular hike starts at the parish church St. Pankratius in Glorenza/Glurns. From there, take trail no. 24, and just outside the town follow the signs to the Mitterwaal irrigation channel path and then turn on trail no. 9A. At the small car park the ascent goes left towards St. Martin church. Continue on trail no. 24 to trail no. 20 and to the start of the Bergwaal irrigation channel path (below the Bergwaal there is the Platzgangl with barbecue facilities). From the Bergwaal continue on trail no. 20 to the car park in the direction of Lichtenberger Höfe farms. The trail no. 14 then leads downhill until shortly before the castle ruin Lichtenberg and on the way no. 9 back to the starting point.
